New Delhi: Over 100 former executives of leading IT company, Infosys, are returning to the company heeding new CEO Vishal Sikka's call to re-join.

According to a leading financial newspaper, the new CEO had sent out a mail to former executives calling them to return to the company and be an 'Infoscion' always as they were already once. He is also said to have called them for support the company as ambassadors.

"Our focus on finding new, exciting ways of working together has never been stronger. I have often heard it said tha once an Infoscion, always an Infoscion. Friend, you stand testimony to this fact, and I know I can look forward to our continued association and your support as an ambassador for Infosys", Sikka had wrote in the mail titled "A New Beginning".

One of the first actions of Sikka, who took charge as CEO on August 1, was to call back former executives of the company and ask them to re-join Infosys. And this mission of his seems to be bearing results with the number of ex-execs returning growing by the day.

Srikantan Moorthy, executive vice-president and head of human resources at Infosys is reported to have said that the number of returnees will be above 100.

"I don't have a definitive number because these are people that apply for a position and then we look through and see how many have applied that were former Infoscions. But I can definitely say it will be more than 100", said Moorthy.

However, Infosys did not reveal the details of the levels and roles of those people returning.

Apart from this, the country's second largest IT firm has roped in two more SAP executives Ritika Suri and Abdul Razak, taking the total ex-SAP count to five.
