Pincon Spirit gets approval for liquor plant in West Bengal

Kolkata-based Pincon Spirit today said it has got an 'in-principal approval' for setting up a liquor plant in West Bengal.

New Delhi: Kolkata-based Pincon Spirit on Friday said it has got an 'in-principal approval' for setting up a liquor plant in West Bengal.

"The Indian Made Indian Liquor (Country Spirit) plant shall be set up in the company's industrial land near Kharagpur for catering to the entire south Bengal market," Pincon Spirits said in a filing to the BSE.

The company is engaged in the business of blending, bottling and wholesale distribution of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) products with the brand name of Pincon and is present in eastern states of the country.

Last month, the company had finalised the launch of a whiskey under brand name 'Odisha's Choice' for Odisha and West Bengal.

Its other brands include Kings Coin (Rum and Vodka), Highland Blue (Whiskey) and Pincon 9000 (Beer).

Pincon Spirit shares were trading 1.26 per cent up at Rs 94.50 per scrip on the BSE.
