New Delhi: Rahul Mittra, filmmaker and producer of films like 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster', 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns', 'Bullett Raja' and 'Revolver Rani' and founder Brandsmith and Brandsmith Motion Pictures has taken over as CEO of Wave Cinemas' film production and distribution business.
Known for backing content based cinema, he has over 20 years of experience in media, corporate communication and brand management and is a well known name in the realm of media, film industry, government and the corporate world. He has won multiple awards for his innovative business practices and films.
Industry sources reveal that Mittra has been brought in to streamline the company's movie business, apart from green lighting some big film projects and will directly report to Wave Group Chairman Raju Chadha.
The Wave Group is a business conglomerate with an impressive portfolio of businesses including sugar manufacturing, distilleries and breweries, real estate, malls and multiplexes, beverages, sports and entertainment and attributes a major part of its success to its former chairman Ponty Chadha.
