Reliance Industries launches internal constitution

After the launching of the RMS, maternity leave will be extended to six months while there will be five days paternity leave.

New Delhi: Billionaire Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has launched its internal constitution with an aim to promote employee friendly practices within the company, as per a leading financial daily.

RIL, in its 38-year-old history, launched the Reliance Management Services (RMS) on October 06 at Chairman Mukesh Ambani's home Antilia in Mumbai.

The RMS also lays out a series of "human resource initiatives" including steps to "promote the wellness of employees and simplify policies", the paper said.

The constitution gives an insight into topics such as HR management, risk management, doing away with service bonds, single-page HR policy with FAQs.

After the launching of the RMS, maternity leave will be extended to six months while there will be five days paternity leave.

The introduction of the new constitution is aimed to "encourage education, promote wellness of employees and reward talent at various levels," the paper added.
