Renuka Sugars stock up over 5% on turnaround in Q4

The stock went up by 5.31 percent to settle at Rs 11.89 on the BSE. In intra-day, it climbed 8.23 percent to Rs 12.22.

Mumbai: Shares of Shree Renuka Sugars on Friday jumped over 5 percent after the company reported a standalone net profit of Rs 4.3 crore during the quarter ended March 31.

The stock went up by 5.31 percent to settle at Rs 11.89 on the BSE. In intra-day, it climbed 8.23 percent to Rs 12.22.

At the NSE, the scrip rose by 4.86 percent to end at Rs 11.85.

In terms of volume, 30 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE and over 95 lakh shares were traded at the NSE during the day.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 88.3 crore in the same period last year, it had said in a BSE filing yesterday.

Net sales declined to Rs 1,683.6 crore during the fourth quarter of the 2014-15 fiscal from Rs 1,859 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

During the full 2014-15 fiscal, Renuka Sugars posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,812.9 crore. It had a net loss of Rs 1,478 crore in the previous year.
