The Sahara Group deposited Rs 200 crore with the Supreme Court following its orders on Friday and sought the apex court to extend an indefinite bail to Subrata Roy and director Ashok Roy Choudhary.

New Delhi: The Sahara Group deposited Rs 200 crore with the Supreme Court following its orders on Friday and sought the apex court to extend an indefinite bail to Subrata Roy and director Ashok Roy Choudhary.

The company also sought directions from the court to further arrange Rs 300 crore, as already directed by it.

Sahara said that during the period of 31 months since the apex court has froze its bank accounts and prevented its from disposing its assets, the business has become completely paralysed.

It said in case the ban is not lifted soon, the group's companies will face substantial hardships.
