Symphony Q2 profit up 45.30% to Rs 36.02 crore

The company, which follows July to June period as financial year, had reported a net profit of Rs 24.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

New Delhi: Home appliance firm Symphony Ltd Saturday reported a 45.30 percent increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 36.02 crore for the second quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company, which follows July to June period as financial year, had reported a net profit of Rs 24.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

Symphony's net sales in October-December quarter stood at Rs 151.41 crore, up 31.40 percent as against Rs 115.22 crore in the same period last year, the company said in a BSE filing.

For the first half of the 2014-15 fiscal, Symphony's standalone net profit has also increased by 47.40 percent to Rs 57.65 crore as against Rs 39.11 crore in the year-ago period.

Total net sales in the first half of the fiscal increased by 35.67 percent to Rs 254.12 crore, as against Rs 187.30 crore in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, in a separate filing, Symphony informed that its board in a meeting held today has declared an interim dividend of Rs 4 (200 percent) per equity share having face value of Rs 2 each.
