Tata Global Beverages Q1 net down 15.34% at Rs 82.31 crore

New Delhi: Tata Global Beverages Ltd (TGBL) on Thursday reported a 15.34 per cent decline in consolidated profit at Rs 82.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30.

During the quarter under review, the company's net sales rose to Rs 2,003.99 crore, up 6.37 per cent from Rs 1,883.95 crore in corresponding period a year-ago, TGBL said in a BSE filing.

Its overall expenses stood at Rs 1,875.78 crore, up 7.53 per cent as against overall expenses of Rs 1,744.36 crore in the year-ago period.

TGBL's revenue from tea in the quarter increased by 5.08 per cent to Rs 1,524.87 crore while revenue from coffee went up by 9.57 per cent to Rs 468.76 crore.

The company's revenue from 'others' segment rose by 11.29 per cent to Rs 35.36 crore.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 143.60 apiece on BSE during afternoon trade, up 1.06 per cent from previous close.
