New Delhi: Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd narrowed the loss to Rs 165.23 crore during the second quarter ended September, 2013-14.
It had posted a loss of Rs 183.71 crore for the July- September quarter of the previous fiscal, 2012-13.
Its total income from operations improved by 5.4 percent to Rs 677.79 crore during Q2, 2013-14, from Rs 642.97 crore in the same period of last fiscal.
TTML said in a release that its Q2 EBIDTA, indicator of cash flows, increased by 23 percent to Rs 136 crore, compared to Rs 111 crore in the year-ago period.
"The margins for the period were impacted by provision for contingencies of about Rs 39 crore, (previous period-Nil) which is primarily towards outstanding claims and litigation against the company relating to Department of Telecom (DoT) and other parties," TTML said.
TTML scrip closed at Rs 7.19, marginally up by 0.28 percent, on the BSE.
