New Delhi: India's third leading software service provider, Wipro Ltd on Thursday reported a net profit of 4 percent to Rs 2,188 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015.
It's total income for the same quarter rose to Rs 12,895 crore.
In April, the Azim Premji led company had reported a net profit of 2.1 percent to Rs 2,286.5 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015 while its revenue rose 3.9 per cent to Rs 12,171.4 crore.
The company said the profit was in line with forecasts as higher IT spending by global clients helped software company.
The company expects IT services revenue in second quarter of FY16 to be between USD 1.82 billion and USD 1.85 billion.
