New Delhi: Special court on Tuesday asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) if the then coal minister was examined by it in a coal scam case involving Kumar Mangalam Birla and others.
It also asked CBI whether the then officials of Prime Minister's Office were examined during the probe.
However, CBI told the Court that the then coal minister was not permitted to be examined.
"Don't you think examination of the then coal minister was necessary in the matter, "Court asked CBI.
The Court has summoned case diary of the matter to which the CBI said that it will file it in sealed cover.
