New Delhi: Railway Minister D V Sadanand Gowda on Thursday said that decision on fare hike will be taken in a few days.
Sadanand Gowda met all General Managers (GM), Divisional Railway Managers (DRM) and other senior officials today to finalise the way forward.
Gowda has made it clear that safety and security of passengers are his top priority and at the same time amenities at rail premises should also be improved.
An interim budget has already been presented by the former Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge in February factoring in the UPA government vision.
The full Rail Budget 2014-15 to be presented by Gowda in July is expected to reflect the NDA's policy and vision, which is different from the UPA.
