New Delhi: Retirement fund body EPFO's trustees on Tuesday decided to retain interest rate on provident fund at 8.75 percent for the current fiscal (2014-15).
The EPFO had provided 8.75 percent rate of interest on PF deposits for 2013-14, which was higher than 8.5 percent paid for the previous fiscal.
As per the practice, the CBT decides the rate of interest on PF deposits for a financial year based on the recommendation of the FIAC. The decision of CBT later requires concurrence of the Finance Ministry.
