Mumbai/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked investors to come and invest in India stating that the country offers immense opportunities for development.
Modi, speaking at the inauguration of General Electrics multi-modal project in Pune's Chakan said, “India is fastest growing economy in world with GDP growth rate of 7.4 percent”.
Emphasising on government's continuous commitment to make a positive investment climate, Modi said that the government is focusing on ease of doing business in India. It has ensured predictability in all policies.
Modi added, “Our effort is to make policies predictable in order to attract investments”.
“Number of permissions needed to set up hospitality industry being brought down from 110 to 20,” he added.
India offers immense opportunities for ship-building sector, said the PM, inviting US-based GE to manufacture ships in the country.
