India's exports grew by 7.33 percent to USD 27.72 billion in July, government data showed on Thursday.

New Delhi: India's exports grew by 7.33 percent to USD 27.72 billion in July, government data showed on Thursday.

Trade deficit in July narrowed marginally to USD 12.22 billion as against USD 12.49 billion in the same month last year.

Gold imports in July down by 26.4 percent to USD 1.81 billion as against USD 2.46 billion in the same month last year while silver imports was at USD 130.4 million as compared to USD 212 million month on month.

Oil imports during July, 2014 were valued at USD 14354.8 million which was 12.75 percent higher than oil imports valued at USD 12731.7 million in the corresponding period last year.

Non-oil imports during July, 2014 were estimated at USD 25601.4 million which was 0.03 percent higher than non-oil imports of USD 25594.8 million in July, 2013.
