New Delhi: On the back of a high output from the manufacturing sector, India's industrial production for the month of July accelerated to 4.2 percent from 3.8 percent in the month before.
Measured in terms of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), industrial production had grown 0.9 percent in July last year, as per the data released by Central Statistics Office (CSO) Wednesday.
The IIP growth for May has been revised downwards to 2.5 percent from the earlier estimate of 2.7 percent. It had grown at a rate of 3.35 percent in April, and 2.5 percent in March. The factory output growth was recorded at 4.9 percent in February.
