New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday said investment is the best remedy for poverty elimination. The Finance Minister spoke at the inauguration of 11th Indo-US Economic Summit.
Both India and US have ambition to increase bilateral trade from existing $100 bn to $500 bn in next few years, Jaitley said.
“ Our objective is to build on Indo-US bilateral relation. We have large number of resources while they have capital,” Jaitley said.
He said that we need to have several internal changes in India, like predictable taxation system and improving ease of business.
Low oil, commodity prices globally are helping India save a large part of resources, the FM said. He also said that India will evolve as the fairest and predictable taxation regime in the world.
