New Delhi: The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission has hiked the power tariff in Delhi by upto six percent effective from Monday.

The move comes after the DERC on May 26 received a copy of an order from the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity Limited (APTEL) directing it to determine the PPAC for two quarters together in three week’s time.

Consumers of BSES Yamuna and Rajdhani will pay six percent more while consumers of NDPL will have to pay four percent more, an official said.

People living in the NDMC area will pay five percent more. The power discoms in the capital had sought a hike in the power tariff attributing it to power purchase adjustment.
