Mumbai: The Food Processing Industries Ministry, along with private players of the sector, is going to organise the three-day Food & Grocery Forum India here from January 14.

"The main aim of this Forum is to provide the right mix of knowledge and trade for exhibitors. It provides opportunity for modern retail, progressive grocers, food service operators to identify new trends, discuss new ideas and witness latest innovations," Food & Grocery Forum India Chief Convenor Amitabh Taneja said.

It also provides an invaluable food retail platform for networking, influencing business ideas and exploring growth opportunities in the dynamic world of retail, he added.

The eighth edition of Food & Grocery Forum India, recognised as a knowledge platform across the globe, is also expected to witness huge foreign participation.

Among the international participants, there will be companies from British Columbia, Dubai, Ecuador, Colombia, USA, Canada, Spain and the UK.

The theme for this year's edition is harnessing the future of food retail through new concepts, powered by knowledge and insights into consumption drivers, technology innovations and best?practices sharing, for profitably growing the food businesses.
