Axis on a roll, shares gain 6% in two days post Q4 show

The stock was the biggest gainer among the 30-Sensex constituents.

Mumbai: On 30th April, Axis Bank's shares further rose nearly 3 per cent, a day after the company reported 18.3 per cent jump in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015.

The shares jumped 2.70 per cent to settle at Rs 567.85 on BSE. During the day, it gained 5.26 per cent to Rs 582.

The stock was the biggest gainer among the 30-Sensex constituents.

On NSE, it went up 2.87 per cent to end at Rs 567.80.

The stock had gained over 3 per cent yesterday also.

Axis Bank's net profit went up to Rs 2,180.59 crore for the March quarter, from Rs 1,842 crore a year ago.
The third-largest private lender's total income increased to Rs 12,384.39 crore in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal compared with Rs 10,178.63 crore a year ago.

For the entire fiscal of 2014-15, the bank's net profit grew 18.3 per cent to Rs 7,357.82 crore, compared with Rs 6,217.67 crore during 2013-14
