RIL surges nearly 14% in six sessions

Mumbai: Shares of Reliance Industries have extended rally for the sixth consecutive session, surging nearly 14 percent.

In six trading days, the stock gained 13.6 percent. During this period, the company's market valuation rose by Rs 38,677 crore to Rs 3,22,511.06 crore.

Shares of the blue-chip company Friday ended at Rs 996.50, up 1.78 percent on the BSE. In intra-day trade, it gained 2.75 percent to Rs 1,006.

At the NSE, shares of RIL went up by 1.8 percent to end at Rs 996.65.

Surge in the stock was significant in sending the benchmark Sensex higher by 200.34 points to close at 27,316.17.

Reliance Industries (RIL) will start commercial operations of its much-awaited 4G telecom services in December, offering a 4G smartphone for as low as Rs 4,000 and a monthly bill of Rs 300-500.
