New Delhi: Bad loan problem for India banking sector seems to be far from over. In the latest, almost 7,000 crore losses were reported in the fourth quarter by the six public sector banks on Friday increasing headache for Reserve Bank.
Bank of Baroda the second largest public sector bank in terms of assets reported a loss of Rs 3230 crore loss
Union Bank of India was the only bank which made a profit of Rs 97 crore in the fourth quarter. Even Central Bank, UCO Bank, Allahabad Bank and Dena Bank reported losses.
