WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 1,451.39 crore on NSE

Mumbai: The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange on Friday witnessed a total turnover of Rs 1,451.39 crore in 49 trades.

The 8.40 securities maturing in CG2024 traded value at Rs 300 crore at weighted yield the 8.13 per cent, the 7.72 securities maturing in CG2025 traded value at Rs 135 crore at weighted yield the 7.95 per cent and the 8.24 securities maturing in CG2027 traded value at Rs 100 crore at weighted yield the 8.25 per cent.

During the week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 9,505.78 crore and the total number of trades during the week was at 251.

The highest volume amount of trade during the week was at Rs 2,908.11 crore today, while the lowest volume amount Rs 1,451.39 crore as on July 3.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.88 per cent, 8.09 per cent, 8.05 per cent and 8.23 per cent, respectively.

The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 7.42 per cent, it was 7.56 per cent for bills of 91-182 days tenure, and 7.60 per cent for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs 7,188.16 crore, trading in Non Government securities was at Rs 2,317.63 crore, representing 75.62 per cent and 24.38 per cent of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
