WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 2,391.55 crore on NSE

Mumbai: The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 2,391.55 crore in 68 trades.

The 7.02 percent government securities maturing in CG2016 traded value at Rs 300 crore at weighted yield 7.87 percent, the 364-day Treasury bills (issue no.050416), traded at Rs.290.00 crore at weighted yield of 7.90 percent and the 364-day Treasury bills (issue no.061015) traded at Rs 200.00 crore at weighted yield of 7.89 percent.

During the week ended today, the total turnover stood at Rs 11,428.79 crore and the total number of trades, 269.

The highest volume of trade during the week was at Rs 3,522.40 crore as on April 29 while the lowest volume Rs 2,319.00 crore as on Apr 28.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.85 percent, 7.78 percent, 7.79 percent and 7.83 percent, respectively.

The weighted yields on Treasury bills were 7.89 percent for 90-day maturity, 7.89 percent of 91-182-day tenure, and 7.90 percent of 183-365-day tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, Treasury bills and state government securities trading on WDM came in at Rs 7,722.00 crore and that of non-government securities was at Rs 3,706.79 crore, representing 67.57 percent and 32.43 percent of the total traded value, respectively, an NSE release said.
