Crude oil futures fall 0.68% on global cues

Oil prices for June delivery moved down Rs 23, or 0.59 percent, to Rs 3,895 per barrel, with a business volume of 2,045 lots.

New Delhi: Crude oil futures declined by 0.68 percent to Rs 3,934 per barrel on Monday in line with a weak trend in Asian trade.

Crude oil for delivery in July shed Rs 27, or 0.68 percent, to Rs 3,934 per barrel, with a business volume of 123 lots in futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange.

Oil prices for June delivery moved down Rs 23, or 0.59 percent, to Rs 3,895 per barrel, with a business volume of 2,045 lots.

Marketmen said the fall was mostly in step with a weakening trend in Asian trade today, reversing steep gains in the previous session as dealers awaited the latest US energy stock report amid concerns about a sustained global supply glut.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for delivery in July was down 35 cents to USD 60.91 while Brent for July eased 27 cents to USD 65.22 a barrel in late-morning trade on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
