In a significant restructuring at Google last year, India-born Sundar Pichai was named the new CEO of the technology giant as the company co-founder Larry Page announced the formation of a new umbrella firm Alphabet, of which Google will be a part.

Pichai had made $100.5 million in 2015, the company said in a regulatory filing. The filing also revealed that Pichai was paid a salary of $652,500, awarded restricted stock worth $99.8 million (which will vest fully in 2017), and given "other" compensation of $22,935.

Last February, Pichai received restricted stock worth about $199 million, according to a regulatory filing by Google parent company Alphabet Inc.

Pichai, who took over in August, received a grant for 273,328 Class C Google stock units on February 3. The valuation is based on the stock's closing price on that date.

On the same day, Pichai sold 375 Class A common shares at a price of $786.28 each, and 3,625 Class C capital stock at a price of $768.84 each, the filing said.
