Japan`s trade deficit narrowed 2.4 percent on-year to $8.7 billion in August on lower bills for fuel imports, official data showed Thursday.
Japan logged a deficit of 948.5 billion yen against the year-before shortfall of 971.4 billion yen, the finance ministry said.
