Two ABCs to help Kerala do business with US

Thiruvananthapuram: The US Foreign Commercial Services Sunday announced the opening of two American Business Corners (ABC), one in Kochi and the other here.

A statement from the US Consulate General, Chennai, said the US Foreign Commercial Services Commercial Counsellor Margaret Hanson-Muse would inaugurate the first ABC Monday here while also speaking on the topic 'Trade Financing Options'.

US Foreign Commercial Services Principal Commercial Officer James Golsen will speak on 'Select USA' and U.S. Consulate General Chennai Consular Chief Nick Manring will address a seminar on 'Travel and Visas'.

The two ABCs are being set up in partnership with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Information on US companies will be made available through booklets, brochures, newsletters, magazines and CDs. Advice on business opportunities and points of contact for US Commercial Service offices in India and the US will be offered to meet specific business needs.

The second ABC will be opened at Kochi next week by US Ambassador to India Nancy Powell when she arrives to take part in the "Emerging Kerala" investor meet.
