Washington: Apple CEO Tim Cook is the newest celebrity to join the ALS ice bucket challenge league.
A video posted on Apple`s website showed Cook receiving a cold splash from rapper-singer Michael Franti on stage at the California campus of Apple, reported Mashable.
The challenge is aimed at raising money for ALS Association and creating awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also known as Lou Gehrig`s Disease. The participant who receives the cold splash dares three other people to take up the challenge.
After receiving the splash, Cook challenged Franti, Disney`s Bob Iger and new Apple recruit, Dr. Dre.
While Franti plunged forward to receive the cold treatment immediately after he was challenged, Dre accepted the challenge on Twitter and asked his followers to stay tuned.
