New Delhi: Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook on Tuesday took a jab at its everlasting rival Microsoft stating the Bill Gates software company was ‘confused’.

During the much anticipated October 22 iPad Air media event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the tech giant CEO took a dig at the Intel company stating they were confused between netbooks, PCs and tablets.

"They're confused...they chased after netbooks. They tried to make tablets into PCs and PCs into tablets", Cook said, an obvious jab at Microsoft.

Our competition is different, he added.

Apple wants to "build computers people love to use", Cook said pointing to works like iWork and iLife, and integration with iOS.

During the event, Apple Inc unveiled the much anticipated iPad known as iPad Air, MacBook Pros and iPad Mini with Retina Display, among others.
