Panasonic TVs powered by Firefox OS are already available worldwide. These televisions have customizable screens that have "quick access" to Live TV, Apps and personal connected devices.
Panasonic now plans to upgrade the DX-series UHD TVs with a new version of Firefox OS later this year. This will provide users with a new way to access Web Apps and save them to their TV.
Firefox OS will also feature Web Apps with curated content optimized for television, such as games, news, video on demand and weather. Panasonic's DX-series UHD Televisions will also have a new "send to TV" feature that will allow users to share Web content from Firefox for Android to a Firefox OS-powered television.
