The new website, released quietly over the weekend, is a response to the major security and privacy issues revealed during July's Stagefright scare.
Samsung's 'Mobile Security Blog' is set to provide monthly software updates for models including the latest Galaxy S series smartphones, Galaxy Note series phablets and Galaxy Tab series tablets. This move follows the revelation of a serious security flaw back in July, in which a single infected MMS - called Stagefright - was able to leave Android phones wide open to hacks.
At the moment, the list of devices getting the monlthy updates remains limited, but Samsung states on the new site that they "[plan] to expand the monthly updates to extended models in other regions and carriers in the near future."
