How will DDA housing society flats look like?

The new scheme offers flats ranging upto Rs 1.2 crore across categories.

New Delhi: The DDA which last month announced its much- awaited 'Housing Scheme 2014' - offering over 25,000 flats across various categories while scrapping the proposed plan to reserve 80 percent flats for the city-dwellers in it, has mostly one bedroom flat in its inventory.

The new scheme offers flats ranging upto Rs 1.2 crore across categories, viz - EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one-room apartments and were rolled out from September 1.

As per an english daily report, out of the total 25,034 flats, ther are 22,627 one bedroom units with a drawing room, kitchen and bathroom.

The flats, located mostly in Dwarka, Rohini and Narela are priced between Rs 14-22 lakh for the one bedroom, while the two and three bedroom are priced at Rs 41-69 lakh and between Rs 69 lakh to Rs 1.2 crore respectively.

Over 800 old flats located under different categories are also being offered, on account of them being cancelled or surrendered.

These flats (older) consists of 21 HIG flats, 49 MIG, 451 LIG, 129 expendable and 161 Janta flats. The cost ranges from Rs 1.2 crore for HIG flats to Rs 5.4 lakh for Janta flats, the DDA had said.
