England Test cricket team captain Ben Stokes has announced his retirement from ODI cricket. The ICC 2019 World Cup winner will play his last ODI against South Africa at Durham. Stokes announced the news on his official Twitter account with his photo holding the 2019 World Cup trophy. After making his ODI debut against Ireland in 2011, Stokes has scored 2919 runs, including three centuries, and taken 74 wickets in the format. The highlight remains his match-winning effort in the final of the World Cup 2019, when his unbeaten 84* helped send the match in the Super Over, which England clinched.
