After a tremendous performance by India's Cheteshwar Pujara and England's Moeen Ali on Friday, India will now look ahead to get a low target from England for their second innings. England lead the five-Test series 2-1.

Here are the highlights from Day 3:

# WICKET!! Shami bowls out Rashid. Caught by Pant, India sums up the day with this wicket. 

Curran and Rashid have increased the frequency of boundaries and this comes after Buttler's dismissal. England's much-needed revival with three wickets in hand but Indian pacers are not running low on spirit either.

Curran setting up the pace for England as he scores two consecutive FOURs on Bumrah's deliveries. Kohli doesn't look happy with it as Bumrah's over gives 8 runs.

# WICKET!! Buttler goes this time! Ishant takes his second wicket! England now lead by 206 runs.

Indian pacers Pandya and Ashwin are now finding it hard to get wickets and Curran-Buttler duo has made the situation for England firm again.

Seems like Buttler and Curran are trying to get England back to their steady state with Buttler finding in space for boundaries.

Buttler now nearing half century while Curran trying to cope up with the strike rate. England nearing 200 runs and Pandya looking forward to a wicket.

# WICKET!!! Finally! A much-awaited wicket for India and Ashwin takes it. Stokes sent off at 30 runs. India will now gain a little confidence as the wicket comes after 15 overs.

Hardik Pandya replaces Bumrah. Both Stokes and Buttler finding space in between for boundaries. The duo playing defensive.

Buttler and Stokes still moving ahead with almost same scores but with almost double the deliveries. Stokes is at 26 runs off 100 balls while Buttler sticks with 30 off 56 balls. The run rate stands at 2.55 runs per over after 65 overs while the Indian pacers are trying their luck out for a much-needed wicket now.

The match slowly seems drifting away from India and the Indian side will now have to pace up their performance and gain more wickets in order to see the other side of the series. English players move orderly towards maintaining a target.

Buttler and Stokes trying the revive the English side by keeping it steady and moving. The duo moves forward with an almost equal score. Buttler, however, shows a remarkable strike rate of 80.95 and Stokes plays it slowly.

# England 140/5 after 52 overs. England lead by 113 runs.

Buttler sneaks in a boundary on his fourth ball. The English side will now have to stay strong and steady for setting up a huge target in order to not lose the series. England's lead crosses 100 runs and Shami replaces Ishant Sharma. 

Jos Buttler is in at seven.

# WICKET!! Root sent off just before completing half-century. A brilliant show of first-class cricket by Root but gets run out on Ishant's delivery. Shami's direct throw did the rest. The wicket comes just when English side was beginning to set stability in the innings.

Ishant Sharma replaces Shami and comes back in attacking form. Only Root-Jennings were able to come with a 50-run partnership till now and that is when the match saw England being stable in the innings. Another strong partnership demanded from the English batsmen. 

England completes 100 runs. Joe Root is nearing his half-century while Stokes opens his account. Shami's fast deliveries are making way and the match resumes a steady pace.

# WICKET!! Shami takes the wicket on his first ball after returning from the break. Bairstow sent off early. 

# The match resumes after the lunch break and Jonny Bairstow comes in at five.

# WICKET!! Jennings sent off by Shami. An important one for India before both the teams disperse for lunch. Jennings had been showing steady pace with marking off boundaries in between but Shami finds a way to send him back.

Root and Jennings come up with a 50-run partnership off 89 balls. The English batsmen slowly increasing the run rate and Indian pacers Shami and Ashwin trying to swing-in between to find another wicket.

Mohammed Shami replaces Bumrah. England move steadily with both Root and Jennings facing constant swingers from Ashwin, Bumrah and now Shami. 

India lose a review after Bumrah thinks that Root was out lbw. India now remains with just one review for the innings.

Ashwin comes in place of Bumrah. Jennings keeping his pace steady while Root is cathing up. Jennings and Root will have to look for a strong partnership in order to set up a huge target for upcoming Indian innings.

# WICKET!! Another one! This time it is Moeen Ali. An early send-off by Ishant. England asked for a review but the original decision was retained. This is also the second catch for Rahul.

# WICKET!! Cook sent off by Bumrah and caught by KL Rahul. The ball slips into Rahul's hand and he grabs it in the second attempt. Heavy loss for England.

Sharma consistently bowls to not let the English batsmen get runs off his deliveries. Single runs are what Cook and Jennings are settling for. Meanwhile, Bumrah comes back in place of Ashwin.

Ishant Sharma comes to replace Jasprit Bumrah for the second over of the day. Sharma continually tries his tricky delivery, forcing a maiden over. Ashwin sticks with his inside edge and undercut deliveries.

England is in their second innings and will be looking to lead with a huge margin while the Indian side gained confidence with Pujara's ton and will be looking ahead to seal their victory in order to survive in the five-Test series. 

England's versatile performance on Friday took India by surprise and Moeen Ali's five wickets left a mark on Indian batting side. Batsmen like Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin had to depart early off after facing Ali's deliveries. 

Ali didn`t allow Rishabh Pant (0), Hardik Pandya (4), R Ashwin (1) and Shami (0) to do any damage. Tailenders Ishant Sharma (14) and Jasprit Bumrah (6) gave momentum to the Indian innings through their pivotal partnerships with Pujara. England finished the second day at six for no loss in their second innings to trail by 21 runs.
