New Delhi: The 2017 edition of Indian Premier League witnessed its first ever Super Over on Saturday when the Gujarat Lions bowler Irfan Pathan produced a frenetic over at Rajkot.
Needing 11 runs in the last over, Krunal Pandya hit the first ball for a six, then a single followed. Here's the LINK the video.
But the Mumbai Indians lost the wicket of Jasprit Bumrah thanks to a run-out, with Ravindra Jadeja hitting the stumps at the bowler's end. Here's the LINK to the video.
Pandya took a double off the fourth ball, then a single to give the strike to last man Lasith Malinga.
Jadeja then produced a direct hit to send Pandya back, forcing the Super Over with both the teams finishing on 153 runs. Here's the LINK to the video.

In the Super Over, Bumrah showed his class by conceding only six runs, and set up the win for his side.
