Over 16.2 | Score 161/3 | Jackson 12 (5) ; Gambhir 71 (52)

Rabada in for may be the last over now. Just five needed as Gambhir crunches another boundary to reduce gap to a just a single now. Wide ball and things are over for Daredevils.

Over 16 | Score 156/3 | Jackson 12 (5) ; Gambhir 67 (50)

Chris Morris back into the attack now for his third over. Not just clicking today as he has been sent down to the boundaries twice already in this over. Once by Jackson and the other by Gambhir. And then again a four as the gap reduces to just five runs now.

Over 15 | Score 140/3 | Jackson 1 (1) ; Gambhir 62 (48)

Zaheer Khan brings back Kagiso Rabada for his third over. After a few tensed in-swingers, off goes Manish Pandey now. Fifth delivery, full length, swing swell inside between pad and bat to rip apart the middle and leg. What a classic delivery by the young lad!

MK Pandey b Rabada 5 (4b)

Over 14 | Score 138/2 | Pandey 5 (2) ; Gambhir 61 (45)

Mishra up for his third over. Fours and four and more and more. 13 off the over

Over 13 | Score 125/2 | Pandey 1 (1) ; Gambhir 52 (40)

Corey Anderson returns for his third over now. Four! Banged down deep midwicket off the short and slower ball, by Gambhir. And then the WICKET! Finally! Direct throw by Nair, from point and Uthappa misses it by a yard.

RV Uthappa run out 59 (33b)

Manish Pandey is the new man in. Fifth ball, seams off as he cuts it down point for a boundary. Fifty up for Gambhir and also it 6000 runs up for the skipper in T20 cricket.

Over 12 | Score 112/1 | Uthappa 59 (33) ; Gambhir 41 (35)

And after an expensive first over, Mishra returns to attack for his second over now. Fourth ball, turns well outside as Uthappa slogs it high over long-on and into the crowd. Splendid! Thats the 100-run partnership for the duo. Back-to-back though.

Over 11 | Score 104/1 | Uthappa 52 (30) ; Gambhir 39 (32)

It is Pat Cummins once again for his third over now. The left-right combo has proved quite lethal for Delhi's formidable pace attack. Zaheer needs something outside the box to clean up the duo and bring back the momentum.

Good build up by the pacer off the four deliveries bowled as just one run has been scored till now. Single finally off the last two.

Over 9 | Score 93/1 | Uthappa 49 (23) ; Gambhir 31 (27)

Pat Cummins brought back into the attack. But Uthappa continues his work. First ball, short, seaming in as Uthappa correctly picks up the length and disappears it into the crowd. And then again off the fourth delivery, length ball as he crunches bit over mid-off for a boundary.

Over 8 | Score 80/1 | Uthappa 37 (19) ; Gambhir 30 (25)

Chris Morris into the attack now but what better can it be for the home fans then to see two back-to-back biggies. First- short, seaming to leg as Uthappa pulls it hard for a maximum over square-leg; second- fuller as Uthappa dismises it off down midwicket for a boundary. And then the third one- six it is, over deep square leg. What a rampage by Uthappa! Its is 19 off the over.

Over 7 | Score 61/1 | Uthappa 19 (14) ; Gambhir 29 (24)

And after all the pace-attack, Zaheer shifts to spin now with Amit Mishra coming into the attack. But confident Gambhir vanishes the first delivery for a boundary down midwicket. And then again off the third delivery, but this time by Uthappa. Glides the outside spinning delivery past third man for a four. Last ball, Gambhir makes ample room to ramp it elegantly over cover for a boundary.

Over 6 | Score 47/1 | Uthappa 14 (12) ; Gambhir 20 (20)

And it is Rabada up for the last over of the power-play. Third delivery, paced one and off the leading edge, rockets high, high over the point as keeper, Amit Mishra and Samson runs in....no one takes it as the ball falls right in front of them. Mishra is angry, so is Rabada. Misery continues with two successive boundaries- one off a bye and then by Uthappa.

Over 5 | Score 36/1 | Uthappa 9 (8) ; Gambhir 18 (17)

Pat Cummins now comes into the attack now. First ball, seams off, placed too to the off side as the ball kisses the bat and flies softly, yet shortly to the slip. Uthappa saved! Fourth ball, places it to the leg side now as Gambhir uses the pace to glide it down past short fine leg for a boundary. Single to finish the over- six off it.

Over 4 | Score 30/1 | Uthappa 8 (7) ; Gambhir 13 (13)

And it is Chris Morris into the attack now. A relaxed two runs off the very first delivery by the skipper followed by three tensed deliveries which resulted in a dot. Skipper finally takes the risk to break the ice with a single. So its just four off the over.

Over 3 | Score 26/1 | Uthappa 7 (6) ; Gambhir 10 (8)

Zaheer into the attack for his second over. And right after the firts delivery he feels a pull on his right hamstring. Walks out for some treament a s Corey Anderson takes on the responsibility. His first ball, short, off and Gambhir cuts it down point for a four. Seven runs already racked up off the five deliveries as the last one goes for a single.

Over 2 | Score 18/1 | Uthappa 5 (4) ; Gambhir 4 (4)

And it is Kagiso Rabada now sharing the attack. Was on the bench for quite a long time until Delhi finally got the young South African into the playing XI in the previous match.

Second delivery, good length, off-cutter and it zips inches past Narine's bat shattering the middle and off stump. What an early wicket!

SP Narine b Rabada 4 (4b)

It is Robin Uthappa now at strike. Gets off the mark with a four. Short, and Robin flicks it over midwicket for the boundary. And then quicker bouncer beating even the keeper for a bye-four.

Over 1 | Score 8/0 | Narine 4 (3) ; Gambhir 3 (3)

Not a very big target, but Daredevils have ample bowling artillery to keep the Knights at bay. In walks pinch-hitter Narine and skipper Gambhir, while Zaheer Khan warms up for the first over.

Fourth ball, changing pace to a slower one this time, knuckle ball, off the upper edge over midwicket, but not a boundary. Excellent from the skipper. Last ball, good length, seaming off as Narine slashes it over point off his back foot for a boundary.

KKR need 161 runs to win off 120 deliveries

DELHI DAREDEVILS

Over 20 | Score 160/6 | Bawne 12 (12) ; Cummins 0 (0)

Last six deliveries to go as the dangerous Coulter-Nile comes into the attack now. First ball of the final over as Bawne anxiously flicks the outside off delivery over midwicket for a boundary. And then again, but no, fielder sent right in time by Gambhir to restrict more boundaries. Chris on strike now to face the third delivery. Good slower short ball and Morris fails to slap it for a boundary. Excellent! Fourth ball, full length and Morris strikes hard down to mid-off fielder-dot again. And then the WICKET. Full length yet again, to the off as Morris slashes it over point, but Woakes there at third man to dive in and take the catch.

CH Morris c Woakes b Coulter-Nile 11 (10b)

Last ball, single. Good comeback by KKR indeed.

Over 19 | Score 154/5 | Bawne 6 (9) ; Morris 11 (7)

What a turn of events for the Daredevils! Started off strong, continues it mid-through only to falter at the death overs. Woakes in for his third over now. His strategy would obviously be to restrict Morris from coming into the strike. Five off the over. Excellent form the Knight Riders.

Over 18 | Score 149/5 | Bawne 2 (4) ; Morris 10 (6)

And it is Sunil Narine back into the attack now. Anderson's anxiety finally gets over him as he departs off a foolish mix-up with a run, thus ends up being run out off the very first delivery.

CJ Anderson run out 2 (5b)

Delhi debutant Ankit Bawne walks in now.

Over 17 | Score 146/4 | Anderson 2 (4) ; Morris 9 (5)

Two new batsmen at the crease at the death over! Not a great thing for Delhi at this stage. Kuldeep Yadav now in for his fourth and final over. Four runs off the four deliveries bowled with the second one going for a dot. Six off the over.

Over 16 | Score 140/4 | Anderson 0 (1) ; Morris 5 (2)

And it is Nathan Couter-Nile back into the attack now and does his job this time removing Rishabh Pant off the very first delivery for a LBW. Full length, seams off and strikes the pad.

RR Pant lbw b Coulter-Nile 6 (4b)

New man in is Chris Morris and gets off the mark with a boundary. Shorter, to the off as he drifts it past the keeper for a four. Fourth ball, full length, off and Iyer crunches it down extra cover for a four. And then Nathan gets rid of yet another Daredevil. Rampaging Iyer is the man to depart, almost similar to that of Pant.

SS Iyer lbw b Coulter-Nile 47 (34b)

Over 14 | Score 123/2 | Iyer 41 (29) ;

Umesh Yadav back in for his fourth and final over now. First ball, paces in and off the leading edge, flies over point, one bounce and Pathan...misses it. Four! Dismal fielding. And then again, good length, seams in as Iyer tucks it down fine leg for a boundary.

And now its time for Samson to notch up a few. Fifth ball, waist high delivery as he makes himself some room to strike it huge over deep midwicket. Humongous!

WICKET! Samson goes in for a ugly shot for the full length delivery as the ball strikes his pad. LBW!

SV Samson lbw b Yadav 60 (38b)

Over 13 | Score 108/1 | Iyer 32 (26) ; Samson 54 (35)

Colin de Grandhomme is the new bowler now. Starts off with a slow ball as Iyer fires it over long leg boundary for a four. And then come a maximum off the fourth delivery. Slower again as Iyer clears it over deep midwicket for a six.

Over 12 | Score 93/1 | Iyer 18 (21) ; Samson 53 (34)

Kuldeep Yadav now comes in for his third over and punished off the very first delivery for a maximum. Tossed up at middle stump, and Samson confidently slog sweeps the ball for a six over square-leg. And that's his fifty. 10 off the over.

Over 11 | Score 83/1 | Iyer 16 (18) ; Samson 45 (31)

Umaesh Yadav back into the attack now for his third over. Fourth ball, outside off, seaming in to edge off the bat and fly to the keeper...misses the great opportunity. Big miss for the knights. Well, Uthappa is not the man standing behind at this moment. He recieving some treamont on his left-knee at the dug-out. It is Sheldon Jackson.

Over 10 | Score 78/1 | Iyer 13 (13) ; Samson 44 (30)

After all the planning, Gambhir brings back Narine yet again. This will be his second over. Gambhir obviously plans on removing Samson to end his slow rampage at Eden Gardens or may be to get rid of this almost settling in partnership.

Four runs scooped up off the first half of the over. Its seven off the over.

Over 9 | Score 71/1 | Iyer 8 (9) ; Samson 42 (28)

After an expensive first over, Chris Wokes returns to attack for his second over. Three singles off the first three deliveries. And then comes up an unanticipated quicker bouncer, which zips over the Samson's swinging bat. It is five off the over as Umpire signals for a strategic time-out.

Over 8 | Score 66/1 | Iyer 5 (6) ; Samson 40 (25)

Another follows into the attack. It is Kuldeep, the chinaman. Four runs have been scored off the first four deliveries. Samson has really taken on the game, guiding Delhi slowly and silently after that first wicket blow, late in the power-play. Six off the over.

Over 7 | Score 60/1 | Iyer 3 (4) ; Samson 36 (21)

Fielding restrictions are now off. Run rate will be slipping down now. But can Delhi hold on what they started off with?

Umesh Yadav now in for his second over. Fourth ball, Samson flicks the leg side seaming ball over midwicket for a ... ohh! What a save in the deep. Just three from it. Just seven scooped up this time, thus a far better over indeed from the pacer.

Over 6 | Score 53/1 | Iyer 2 (3) ; Samson 30 (16)

Spin attack continues with Kuldeep Yadav following in for the last over of the power-play. Much tidy over as Kuldeep gives away just five runs.

Over 5 | Score 48/1 | Iyer 0 (1) ; Samson 27 (12)

And after all the initial pace-treatment getting vapourised down for boundaries, Gambhir brings in a little bit of spin by introducing Sunil Narine. Fifth delivery, turns leg side, wide and spins past vthe keeper's golves for a boundary. Ohh...misery continues.

And that's the end. Karun Nair is the first man to depart off a LBW off the fifth delivery.

KK Nair lbw b Narine 15 (17b)

Over 4 | Score 41/0 | Nair 14 (13) ; Samson 26 (11)

Little change in bowling now as Chris Woakes is being introduced into the attack. And boundary is what Samson starts off with. Good length as Samson gently slides it down with a square drive for a four. And then again. Off the second delivery, back of the length, outside off as Samson crunches it down backward point for the second boundary in two balls.

Over 3 | Score 31/0 | Nair 13 (11) ; Samson 17 (7)

And it is Coulter-Nile back into the attack for his second over now. Ohh...that's back-to-back punishment from Karun Nair. First ball- length ball, placing towards pads as he flicks it gently down fine leg to get his first four. Second ball- shorter, to the off as Nair elegantly times his drive to crunch it down cover. And then off the fourth delivery, Samson comes for this time to cut it down second slip to get his share of the boundary.

Over 2 | Score 17/0 | Nair 4 (7) ; Samson 12 (5)

And it is Umesh Yadav who now comes in to share the new ball. Second delivery, length ball, swinging in as Samson gently taps it over mid-on for a boundary again. And he yet again does it this time going for a maximum. Last ball, shorter one and he ramps it over midwicket to notch it up.

Over 1 | Score 5/0 | Nair 4 (5) ; Samson 1 (1)

Rahul Dravid rings the bell and in walks the two openers Karun Nair and Sanju Samson, along with the KKR squad. Still no Sam billings for the Daredevils. For Kolkata is Nathan Coulter-Nile who is in with the new ball. Last time he was here, he nothched up a ruckus of the RCB batting line-up.

First ball, outside off and edged off to the third man, Samson off the mark with a single. And then follows on a couple of troubled variations to add up to the anxiety of Karun Nair. Last ball, shorter one seaming to the leg as Nair flicks it off down backward square-leg for a boundary.

TEAM CHANGES: For KKR Nathan Coulter-Nile and Sheldon Jackson replaces Darren Bravo and Piyush Chawla, while for DD Ankit Bawne comes in for Aditya Tare

TOSS TIME: KKR win toss, elect to field

Kolkata: Live cricket scores and live updates from KKR vs DD IPL 2017 match to be played today. Kolkata Knight Riders have been in sublime form and are currently ranked at the top of the points table. Delhi Daredevils, on the other hand, are struggling for rhythm in the tenth edition.

With six wins from eight matches, KKR are looking like the team to beat this year. Gautam Gambhir has led his troops from the front and with Mumbai Indians, they are looking the most balanced team in the competition.

Gautam Gambhir's men have been living out of a suitcase but far from being affected, they have been ruthless on the field and would look to consolidate their position atop the standings and inch closer to playoff.

After bundling out Royal Challengers Bangalore for a tournament-record low 49, KKR thrashed Rising Pune Supergiant away by seven wickets last night.

Having suffered a hat-trick of losses, Daredevils, on the other hand, will be playing their first match in six days and the captain-mentor duo of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid would hope that they return rejuvenated against an in-form team enjoying a 7-11 win-loss record.

Delhi have a top-class pace bowling attack in Pat Cummins, Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada, who made an impressive debut in their last match in Mumbai, which they lost by 14 runs.

With Zaheer lending his vast experience and home lad Mohammad Shami's familiarity with the conditions, Daredevils' pace battery would relish the transformed Eden Gardens wicket, which aids pace and bounce.
