Woakes back in to get his third wicket- Samuel Badree is the man now, dismissed of LBW

Over 8 | Score 43/7 | Mills 1 (3) ; Badree 0 (1)

de Grandhomme comes into the attack now for his first over and grabs his first wicket too. Pawan Negi, disappointing once again as he departs on a LBW.

P Negi lbw b de Grandhomme 2 (3b)

Tymal Mills in now. Question is that whether RCB will be all out for the lowest ever total in IPL. Current lowest is 58.

Over 7 | Score 40/6 | Negi 0 (0) ; Badree 0 (1)

And it is Chris Woakes into the attack now. Interesting that KKR not in with spinner till now, given the RCB spinner had scalped 6 wickets against them.

Ohh and misery continues as Big man Chris Gayle is the next batsman to be dismissed.

CH Gayle c Coulter-Nile b Woakes 7 (17b)

Pawan Negi is the new batsman in.

Fifth delivery, seaming out and outside edge of Binny's bat and Uthappa taking it behind to dismiss Binny.

STR Binny c Uthappa b Woakes 8 (9b)

Over 6 | Score 39/4 | Gayle 7 (15) ; Binny 8 (6)

Umesh into the attack yet again for his third over now. Third delivery, outside off, Gayle gets a thick outside edge and the ball flies to third man for a four. Last ball, short, to the off and Binny slaps it down cover, but in the air and zips past diving Pandey to the boundary.

Over 5 | Score 28/4 | Gayle 2 (10) ; Binny 4 (5)

Coulter-Nile back in to get his third wicket. Kedar Jadav is the man now to depart.

KM Jadhav c Woakes b Coulter-Nile 9 (7b)

Stuart Binny is the new bowler now. And after four troubling deliveries gets off the mark with a stunning four struck down cover.

Over 4 | Score 24/3 | Gayle 2 (10) ; Jadhav 9 (6)

Umesh Yadav continues into the attack after a stunner of a start. Just two off the over.

Over 2 || Score 7/2 - Chris Gayle 0(5b); AB de Villiers 4(4b)

Umesh Yadav shared the new ball, and he's onto it. A dot ball, then the wicket of Mandeep Singh. No feet movement, and a slashed which ended as a catch for Manish Pandey, again, but this time at cover-point.

WICKET: Mandeep Singh c Manish Pandey b UT Umesh Yadav 1 (3b)

That's some start. New man AB de Villiers hit the second ball he faced for a four. Sublime timing, through mid-wicket.

Four runs from the over.

Over 1 || Score 3/1 - Chris Gayle 0(5b); Mandeep Singh 1(1b)

What a frenetic start to the chase. A no ball from Nathan Coulter-Nile to Chris Gayle. But the big West Indian failed to make the most of free hit. It was followed by a leg-bye.

Then the big wicket of Virat Kohli, caught at second slip, by Manish Pandey at second attempt. Kohli was not happy with the movement of people above the sightscreen.

WICKET: Virat  Kohli c Manish Pandey b Nathan Coulter-Nile 0 (1b)

That happened off the third ball. Mandeep Singh is the new man.

Three runs from it.

RCB need 132 to win off 120 deliveries

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS

Over 19.3 | Score 131/10 | ; Umesh 2 (4)

Last six deliveries to go and Aravind is the bowler now. Question is where will KKR stop, after all the successive tumbling down at home? Two dot balls to start off with. Third ball, slower, Flatter and Kuldeep steps out, swings his bat. Ball travels down under to rip apart the stumps and thats it for Kolkata. It is the second time in 55 IPL matches KKR have been bowled out at home. Dismal surely.

Kuldeep Yadav b Aravind 4 (7b)

Over 19 | Score 131/9 | Kuldeep 4 (4) ; Umesh 2 (4)

With nine wickets down, RCB will now be looking to bowl out KKR. Tymal Mills in for his fourth and final over to trouble the two Yadavs with his slower deliveries. Just five off the over.

Over 18 | Score 125/9 | Kuldeep 1 (2) ; Umesh 0 (0)

And it is Pawan Negi back into the attack for his third over. Virat does seem to trust him a lot in the death overs. Third ball, Coulter-Nile strikes it big, but bit short of the boundary as AB there at long-off to take it.

NM Coulter-Nile c de Villiers b Negi 2 (3b)

And of the very next ball, it is Suryakumar Yadav. Edges off the corner to fly to short third man. Tymal Mills...misses, juggles and finally takes it.

SA Yadav c Mills b Negi 15 (19b)

Over 17 | Score 122/7 | Suryakumar 14 (17) ; Coulter-Nile 1 (1)

Tymal Mills returns to attack and has been punished for a boundary off the very first ball. Length ball, well outside off and Chris Woakes chips it high over cover, one bounce and over the rope it goes. And then he walks back to the pavilion. Third ball, changing pace as Woakes stikes it big, but too short and man at deep midwicket there to take it, with difficulty though.

CR Woakes c Mandeep Singh b Mills 18 (21b)

Coulter-Nile is the new man in. Five runs off the five deliveries bowled and the last one goes for a single.

Over 16 | Score 116/6 | Suryakumar 13 (14) ; Woakes 14 (18)

And now RCB is back with its pace attack as Sreenath Aravind comes in for his third over. Second delivery, just slightly off and Yadav sweeps it with a timely stroke down square-leg for a boundary. Nine off the over . Strategic time-out.

Over 15 | Score 107/6 | Suryakumar 6 (11) ; Woakes 12 (16)

Pawan Negi comes into the attack only to be chip the inside out turning ball for a boundary over cover. Boundary needed and he gets it. Well, more is required. And rain is starting its trouble again. Its getting heavy there at Eden Gardens

Over 14 | Score 100/6 | Suryakumar 5 (10) ; Woakes 6 (11)

And it is Chahal yet again for his fourth and final over now. Two singles off the four deliveries bowled as 100 comes up for KKR amid their struggle to settle in.

Over 13 | Score 98/6 | Suryakumar 4 (6) ; Woakes 5 (9)

More of spin action to continue with Pawan Negi coming into the attack now for his first over. Four dots balls to start off with as KKR continue to struggle at the middle. And then a boundary by Woakes down to third man.

Over 12 | Score 94/6 | Suryakumar 4 (6) ; Woakes 1 (3)

Chahal steps in for his third over to dismiss Manish Pandey off the very first delivery. Low full toss and he flicks it to Badree at short midwicket. Sure blunder from the batsman as KKR goes 5 down now.

MK Pandey c Badree b Chahal 15 (16b)

Grandhomme is the new batsman in. His second ball and he steps out to drive it down the wicket as the ball kisses the outside edge of the bat to fly to VK at slip.

C de Grandhomme c Kohli b Chahal 0 (2b)

Ohh...whats wrong with KKR?

Over 11 | Score 93/4 | Suryakumar 4 (6) ; Pandey 15 (14)

And it is Samuel Badree in for his final over. He is more quicker through the air compared to Chahal. Just a single dug out off the four deliveries bowled. And then a boundary off the fifth. Turning well out and Pandey cuts it late to third man for a four. Single to finish it.

Over 10 | Score 87/4 | Suryakumar 3 (3) ; Pandey 10 (12)

Chahal continues into the attack. Second ball, reading the stepping out batsman, Chahal turns it wide off Pathan's leg as he misses to strike it and Kedar back there to do the rest. Chahal completely outfoxed the batsman as Pathan lunged in to get back. What a play from the leg-spinner!

YK Pathan st Jadhav b Chahal 8 (8b)

Suryakumar Yadav is the new batsman in. Three singles to follow the. And a single to finish the over.

Over 9 | Score 79/3 | Y Pathan 6 (7) ; Pandey 8 (10)

Badree into the attack now. Its leg-spin combo that Virat is going for now as the duo at crease are constantly rotating strike to settle themselves in. Six off the over.

Over 8 | Score 73/3 | Y Pathan 3 (5) ; Pandey 5 (6)

And it is Chahal into the attack now. Leg-spinners have indeed outshined this season. Just three runs scored in the four overs bowled. Five off the over.

Over 7 | Score 68/3 | Y Pathan 1 (2) ; Pandey 2 (3)

And after that battering off the first over, Samuel Badree is back for his second over now. And he gets it done yet again- Uthappa is the man to depart off LBW. Pitched it between middle and leg and yes it is from the umpire. Kohli is indeed impressed after that little plan of theirs during the strategic time-out.

RV Uthappa lbw b Badree 11 (9b)

Yusuf Pathan is the new man in now.

Over 6 | Score 65/2 | Uthappa 11 (8) ; Pandey 0 (0)

And now it is the last over for power-play and Virat gives the over to Staurt Binny. First ball, slow to the leg side and Uthappa flicks off the middle off the bat through midwicket and mid-on for a four. Third ball, well wide to the off to Narine and he slashes it over point for a boundary. And then again, this time for the big one off the middle of the bat, raising the front foot. But Chahal there at deep square-leg to take it.

SP Narine c Chahal b Binny 34 (17b)

Manish Pandey is the man in now.

Over 5 | Score 56/1 | Uthappa 6 (4) ; Narine 30 (15)

And it is Aravind back into the attack for his second over now. Three runs off the four ball bowled as the wet field seems to cause a problem for the fielding team. Dot to finish off.

Over 4 | Score 52/1 | Uthappa 4 (2) ; Narine 28 (11)

And Virat sticks to Mills for the fourth over. Three runs scored off the first two deliveries bowled. Narine on strike for the third ball, wide and four too. Dismal from the Englishman. Fourth delivery, seaming in and edges off Gambhir's bat to fly to Kedar Jadhav behind. OUT...umpire's need a confirmation from above and yes it is. RCB fans at Eden Gardens roar loud as Gambhir departs early.

G Gambhir c Jadhav b Mills 14 (11b)

Robin Uthappa is the new batsman now. Has been impressive in the last couple of matches. And off the mark with a soft push down the line and two fielders from mid-on and mid-off dive in, yet it magically dances through to the boundary.

Over 3 | Score 39/0 | Gambhir 11 (8) ; Narine 27 (10)

Looking at the first two overs KKR have started brilliantly. Is Kohli regreting not having started with the bat? Narine's last 60 runs in the counting the last game too, all has come from boundaries.

And a change now- Aravind has been sent into the attack now. Finally Narine takes a single off the second ball. Third ball, seaming off, outside edge off Gambhir's bat and he gets a four. Fifth ball, outside the off line and Narine off his back-foot strikes it above the bowler for a boundary. And yet again a four to finish.

Over 2 | Score 25/0 | Gambhir 6 (6) ; Narine 18 (6)

And it is Tymal Mills into the attack now against Gambhir, who is at strike. Starts off with two dot balls. From the commentary box- Ravi Shastri- It was Virat Kohli, who rang the bell off the field and it is Narine, who rang the bell on the field. And then again a dot ball. Ohh... Gambhir still fails to get off the mark in the fourth delivery too. And then a six from Gambhir. Short, too short and Gambhir jumps to ramp it high, high, behind to get a four.

Over 1 | Score 18/0 | Gambhir 0 (0) ; Narine 18 (6)

And it is Virat Kohli who rings the bell and hustles down to the pitch where RCB are all set to field against KKR. Virat said that the pitch looks a bit tacky and they look forward to exploit the field.

Openers- Gambhir and once again Sunil Narine, walk to the centre as Samuel Badree is ready to bowl the first over at Eden Gardens.

First ball, Sunil at strike- so its West Indies against West Indies in the first ball. And Badree banged away to four off the second delivery by Narine down cover. And then again, theis time down the line. What a start by Narine and KKR ! Its three in a row now. This time inches over Gayle at cover for a four. Fifth ball, and its a maximum. Shimmies down the pitch for a huge six. Dot to finish.

TEAM CHANGES- AB, Badree are back to join RCB and for Kolkata, Colin de Grandhomme replaces Shakib Al Hasan

TOSS TIME- RCB win toss, elects to bowl

Well, the covers are being removed as the crowd goes roaring at Eden Gardens

NEWS FROM THE PITCH- Match delayed due to rain

Two of the most aggressive captains in the form of Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli go head-to-head in today's encounter as Kolkata Knight Riders host Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens stadium.

When it comes about a battle between Gambhir and Kohli, the fans do not expect anything other than a fiercely contested one. (IPL 2017 - Points Table | Full Coverage)

While KKR comfortably sit second in the IPL standings behind leaders Mumbai Indians, RCB are 7th, ahead of bottom-table Gujarat Lions on net run rate.

Having won four out of their six matches so far this season, KKR have been pretty consistent with both bat and ball, even the two matches they have lost were close encounters rather than being one sided.

In contrast, RCB have been pretty inconsistent with neither their bowlers, nor their batsmen producing resolute enough performances that can prove match winning.

The Virat Kohli-led side's overall scoring rate of of 8.07 is the least among all the eight teams this season.
