7.39 pm IST: It's over. RCB fall short by 19 runs at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. To be honest, after Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers got out in quick succession, it just has been a case of narrowing the margin of defeat. But there is denying that Washington Sundar (35 off 19 balls) and Mandeep Singh (47 not out off 25 balls) kept the home fans interested in the contest, getting their hopes up to some extent. However, the target proved to be too big in the end. Click here for scores. Don't go anywhere. Punjab are hosting two-time champions Chennai in the next match. We will continue our coverage. Stay tuned.

6.55 pm IST: Things are increasingly getting difficult for RCB. Since our last update, RCB have lost both de Kock and Kohli. However, it's Kohli's wicket that will hurt them the most. He was looking in great touch, manifested by a 30-ball 57. Aussie D'Arcy Short played a big role in both the wickets. First he removed de Kock for 26 and then took a beautiful catch on the boundary off the bowling of Gopal to send Kohli back to the dugout. AB de Villiers is still there. He is the only guy who could win it for RCB from this position. RCB 105/3 after 11 overs. Target: 218 Click here for scores.

6.30 pm IST: The end of Powerplay overs and RCB are nicely placed at 64/1 in pursuit of 218 runs. They lost Brendan McCullum in the first over to Gowtham for 4 but after that South African Quinton de Kock (23 off 13 balls) and captain Virat Kohli (36 off 19 balls) have taken the innings forward with a lot of confidence. Kohli has been particularly aggressive. However, there is no denying there is a lot more to be done in light of the huge target. RCB's top order will need to fire today to chase down 218. No other option. Click here for scores.

5.55 pm IST: Rajasthan post 217/4, all thanks to Sanju Samson's 92 not out off 45 balls. In the last five overs, RR scored a whopping 89 runs. RCB's top bowlers, Umesh Yadav and Chris Woakes, finish with figures of 0/59 and 2/47 respectively and that shows how they struggled against Samson and other visiting batsmen. Not to mention, Jos Buttler (23 off 14 balls) and Rahul Tripathi (14* off 5 balls) also played their part in RR posting such a huge total. This total will take some beating, no doubt about that. By the way, Samson hit 10 sixes and two fours during his innings. Click here for scores.

5.11 pm IST: After a 49-run stand between Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson, Rajasthan feel much better. It would have been great if Stokes had carried on. He fell for 27 shortly after Rajasthan went past the 100-run mark. Stokes went for a big shot on the leg side off Yuzvendra Chahal and lost his stumps. Another England player Jos Buttler has joined Samson at the crease. RR 112/3 after 13 overs. Click here for scores.

4.46 pm IST: After forging a good opening stand, Rajasthan lose both openers in succession.  First captain Ajinkya Rahane finds Umesh Yadav at mid-on off the bowling of Chris Woakes after scoring 36 off 20 balls. In the next over (7th of the innings), the other opener D'Arcy Short also goes back for 11 after edging Yuzvendra Chahal to wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock. Rajasthan 54/2 in 7 overs. Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes - this year's auction's most expensive player - are at the crease. Click here for scores.

4.23 pm IST: Rajasthan captain Ajinkya Rahane is looking in great nick. RR have scored 33 in four overs without loss and Rahane has contributed 26 off just 14 balls. Aussie D'Arcy Short is uncommonly quiet though having scored just four off 10 balls. Overall, just the start they would have been looking for.

345 pm IST: Here is the toss update. RCB have won the toss and will have a field. One change for them. Batsman Sarfaraz Khan goes out in favour of allrounder Pawan Negi. RR, meanwhile, are unchanged.

Hello and welcome to the RCB-RR match from the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Both teams have won one match each from their two so far. However, RCB (5th) are better placed in the standings as compared to RR (7th). Virat Kohli's men overcame KXIP in their last game and they will hope to maintain their winning form. RR also won their last game against Delhi and will look to register their second straight win and move up the table.
