New Delhi: The tenth and final edition of the Indian Premier League in current contract, kicks-off on April 5, 2017 with opening match featuring hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad.
Schedule:-
In total, 60 matches will be played over the course of 47 days featuring eight IPL teams, same as the previous season.
- The final match of the season will be played on 21st May, also in Hyderabad.
- Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will host the Qualifier 1 on May 16.
- Bangalore will host two knockout matches -- the Eliminator on May 17 and the Qualifier 2 on May 19.

Opening ceremony:-
This year, the organisers have decided to host 8 opening ceremonies – one each for every franchise - with Amy Jackson, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and other Bollywood celebrities expected to perform at respective venues.
