New Delhi: The Indian Premier League clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab produced one of the rarest sights in cricket when KXIP's Hashim Amla walked off his crease after edging a delivery off Aniket Choudhary's bowling which went straight into the hands of the wicket-keeper, despite no opposition player appealing for a caught behind.

When seen in the replay, it was a feather's touch from his bat, and the ball landed into the hands of the wicket-keeper Kedar Jadhav. There was hardly any noise from the contact, making both Choudhary and Jadhav think that the ball had in fact missed the bat from the closest of margins.

Amla, known for his honest and responsible personality, chose to walk off the pitch, much to the delight of RCB players and fans.

The South African batsman's decision earned huge praise from all around the cricketing universe including Gujarat Lions' Irfan Pathan.

"How many batsmen would walk without bowler appealing but that's how this guy plays his cricket @amlahash @IPL #honestman," tweeted the Indian all-rounder.

The Proteas star certainly set an example of how delightful can fair play be in the game of cricket for all the fans all over the world.
