New Delhi: Much to the disappointment of fans, Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) opted to replace MS Dhoni with Steve Smith as the captain of the franchise ahead of 2017 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Smith might have led RPS to their first triumph of the new season – defeating Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets on Thursday – but as far as Ajinkya Rahane is concerned, Mahi still remains the best leader there is.

Rahane, who captained India to victory in the final Test of the series against Australia in Dharamsala in injured Virat Kohli's absence, told reporters as to why he still considers Dhoni as the best leader despite having the successful Smith leading the Pune franchise.
