WATCH: One of IPL 10's best moment — Cheerleaders mourn Chris Lynn's departure

New Delhi: The 10th season of Indian Premier League (IPL) witnessed probably it's best moment on Saturday when cheerleaders mourned the wicket of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Chris Lynn.

For long, cheerleaders are considered a surplus to the requirement of a successful organising of the cash-rich tournament. But over the years, they have become one integral part of the celebration, that is cricket.

Yesterday, two innocuous looking cheerleaders almost hijacked the high-profile, top of the table clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and visiting Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens.

And the reason was the fall of Lynn's wicket. The Aussie batsman has established himself as one of the favourite players in the league with his swashbuckling knocks, but nobody would have expected cheerleaders mourning his wicket.

Here's the video:

Lynn departed after scoring 26 runs off 14 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.

Chasing MI's 173, KKR lost the match by nine runs. But Gambhir Gambhir qualified for the play-offs despite the defeat.
