New Delhi: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli conspired to disappoint again as he posted a second successive single-digit score on Sunday against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their IPL match.

Coming into bat after the fall of opener Chris Gayle, the skipper looked awfully out of sorts during his nine-ball stay in the centre. He even failed to capitalise on the life given by Piyush Chawla, who dropped a catch at mid-off.

It happened off the fourth ball of the third over, bowled by Umesh Yadav. Kohli failed to read the slower full toss, and his mishit ended up offering a catch. Chawla, positioned at mid-off, backed off to take the catch, but he too failed at his task. A huge wicket, and it gone a-begging.

But the very next delivery, Yadav got the better of Kohli for the second time by a slower delivery. This time, though, the bat missed the ball, with the change of pace beating the batting superstar. An easy decision for the umpire. LBW.

Once the verdict was out, a relieved Chawla stuck his tongue out, and joined the celebration.

Here's the video:

One again, RCB's famed 'Big Three' failed to fire. Gayle, who's playing in his 100th IPL match, perished off the very first ball of the match.

It was followed by Kohli's flop show, then AB de Villiers showed glimpses of his class, but lasted only eight balls for his 10 runs.

In the first leg of this fixture, KKR dismissed RCB for 49 all out inside ten overs.
