New Delhi: The Delhi Daredevils skipper Zaheer Khan produced the best delivery of the season to dismiss Rising Pune Supergiant opener Ajinkya Rahane in their IPL match on Friday.
Defending a below-par total of 168, Delhi needed a good start, and it came from their skipper. Zaheer cleaned up Rahane's wicket off the very first ball of the innings.
He pitched up the delivery, and managed to swing the ball just enough to find the gap between the bat and pad. Result, a beauty of a delivery and wickets flying.

It was his 100th IPL wicket. The 38-year-old then removed Rahul Tripathi in the fifth over to give his side a fighting chance against the visitors.
He thus became the 10th bowler to take 100 or more wickets in IPL. In this edition, Zaheer has taken 11 wickets in 10 matches.
Zaheer retired from international cricket in October 25, after serving India for more than a decade.
