New Delhi: India's stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane hit a strange six on Day 2 of the fourth and final Test against Australia.
Rahane arrived in the centre after the fall of KL Rahul in the 41st over. He survived the second ball, a bouncer from Pat Cummins, then hit the next ball for a four. A deliberate shot over mid-wicket.
Then, he tried to repeat the shot, but this time, the ball took the top edge and flew over the keeper's head in a bizarre way.
The shot took Virat Kohli and Sanjar Bangar by surprised, as seen in this video:
Rahane is leading the team in the absence of Kohli, who failed to recover fully after picking a shoulder injury in Ranchi Test.
