Delhi Police constable calls PCR, threatens to `kill Arvind Kejriwal`

New Delhi: A Delhi Police constable on Friday night called the police control room and threatened to kill Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

He was held later.

When asked by a joint team of Intelligence Bureau (IB), Special Cell and local police, the constable alleged that he made the bogus call in inebriated condition.

Vikas Kumar, deployed with the Delhi Police's seventh battalion in Malviya Nagar, dialled Rohini district's control room number and said he was going to kill Kejriwal.

"He also revealed his name and designation," The Times of India quoted an investigator as saying.

Kumar earlier alleged that an unknown man borrowed his phone and made the call from his phone.

However, during interrogation, he revealed that he made the call, said a police official.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has not taken the threat lightly and intensified the security outside Kejriwal's house.
