Noida: A dreaded criminal was shot dead in an encounter with the police in Uttar Pradesh's Noida early on Wednesday.
According to IANS, the incident occurred in the Greater Noida area after the police team chased three men fleeing after stealing a Honda City car and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash from Noida's sector 58.
A gun battle erupted near Bisrakh in Greater Noida, according to the police spokesman.
One criminal was fatally shot. Two others, however, managed to escape. One policeman has alos been injured, he added.
The car and the cash have been recovered, the official added.
