New Delhi: In a new video, which has now become a rage on the Internet, a popular TV news anchor recently taught a bitter lesson to Muslim cleric Maulana Yasoob Abbas after he made a sexist remark during a live TV debate.

According to reports, the cleric's apparent dressing down by Mirror Now’s anchor occurred during a live TV debate on the recent controversy involving 'Dangal' star Sana Fatima Sheikh who was trolled massively for posting a picture in which she was wearing a bikini.

The 'Dangal' star was massively trolled by the Twitterati over her choice of doing so during the holy month of Ramzan.

During the heated debate, Maulana, who was one of the participants, shouted, “I am telling you, wear an underwear and come. You will become equal to men. Wear an underwear and come to debate. There will be equality between men and women”.

Unable to bear Maulana's insulting remarks, Faye, who had initially maintained her cool and tried to moderate the debate by pacifying other panelists, too lost her temper and then tore into him herself.

“He (Maulana) hopes that he will rile me up. He hopes that I will throw a fit, and I will lose control of my panel and forget how to do my job. Let me tell you Maulana ji, I have seen the likes of you. I am not afraid of you, I am not threatened by you, I am not rattled by you…. All you men think that if you rattle Sana Fatima when she is doing her job, if you rattle Sania Mirza while she is doing her job, if you rattle women then they will run back into their kitchens and leave the world for you again to conquer, I have news for you, we are not going anywhere,” she hit back while intervening in the debate.

The incident comes at a time when several women athletes and actors have faced severe backlash for their ''bizarre'' choice of dresses.

Just recently, famed tennis star Sania Mirza was criticised on Twitter over her attire while playing the game. Actress Priyanka Chopra too faced the wrath of the net users over her alleged leg show during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Germany.
