New Delhi: Delhiites will be able to enjoy a variety of kebabs, rolls, chaat and other cuisine at the annual food festival "Dilli Ke Pakwaan" that began here Wednesday.

The festival, in its fifth edition, is being organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corp (DTTDC) along Baba Kharak Singh Marg.

BJP Lok Sabha member Meenakshi Lekhi and Science and Technology Minister Harsh Vardhan were present at the inauguration.

"In our country, everyone likes to go for government jobs. But the best growth for any country lies in empowering individuals by making them self-employed," Lekhi said.

"Cooking food is a form of self employment practice and this event is a good step taken for promoting Delhi food," she added.
